  • The Department organized an Online PPT Competition on the topic ‘Epidemics & Pandemics and Lifestyle Changes: Fashion and Food.’, which was announced on May 10th, 2020.
  • The Department of History/FC along with the Department of EVS organised a Webinar on “Biodiversity, War and the Ecosystem: Observations and Experiences” to celebrate World Environment Day on June 5, 2020
  • The Department organised a session on “Creating Google Forms for conducting Research”.
  • A session on “Importance of Internet Resources for Research in History” was conducted by Mr. Paritosh Pawar, LIbrarian, July 31, 2020.
  • The Departments of History and Accountancy organised an Online Interdisciplinary quiz on the “History of Demonetization and Banking: Events and Facts” on June 26, 2020.
  • The Departments of History and Psychology organised a Webinar on “Personal Happiness and Success for Institutional Success” on July 4, 2020.
  • A session on How to Create a Quiz using Google Forms was conducted by the department for the teachers and students of TYBA History.
  • The Department of History organised a College level Online Webinar titled “An Engagement with Mahatma Gandhi on the International Day of Non Violence” on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, October 2nd, 2020.
  • A Facebook Template Designing Competition was organised on October 6, 2020.
  • A session on the importance of NLIst and Jstor for research in History was organised with the librarian Mr. Paritosh Pawar as Guest Speaker on October 7 2020.
  • The Department organised a webinar titled ‘Stars & Stripes and The Tricolour’ with a view to explore Indo-US relations in lieu of the upcoming Presidential Elections. The webinar was conducted on Saturday October 24th, 2020
  • The Department organised a National level Webinar on the topic, ‘The Train’ on November 28th, 2020
  • The Department of History and the Special Cell organised a webinar on ‘The Indian Constitution: Women Empowerment’ to commemorate the Constitution Day, on 27th Nov 2020.
  • The Department organised a Guest Lecture on ‘Regional Collaborations’ for the students of TYBA History on on the MS Teams platform on March 26th, 2021.
  • The Departmnt organised a Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Authoritarian Regimes in Asia from 1945-2000’ on March 23rd, 2021.
  • The Department of History, in collaboration with the Dept. of Political Science, organised a National Level Webinar on the topic, ‘Dr. Ambedkar: Exploring the Unknown, Revisiting the Known’ on April 15, 2021.
  • The Department organised ‘Paramarsh’, an annual Workshop on ‘Careers after History’ for the History students of TYBA and SYBA on May 07th, 2021.

2019-2020

  • To mark the to the 150 years celebration of the Mahatma, the department screened the award- winning film ‘Gandhi’ for staff and students in the college auditorium on August 13, 2019.
  • Organised a Guest Lecture on August 16, 2019 for TYBA students by Dr. Girish Pusalkar on the topic: Carbon Dating Methods
  • Organized a Pre-Seminar Workshop for training students in various aspects of paper presentation as a preparatory to the Students’ Seminar on Food.
  • “Food: Culture and Consumption” was the Students’ Seminar & Paper Presentation Competition organized for the students of Vaze on September 17, 2019.
  • A Parent-Student-Teacher meeting of all students proposing to go on the Historical Tour (IV) was held on 10 Jan, 2020.
  • The department organised a Study Tour to Mt. Abu-Chittorgarh-Udaipur from 16th January- 22nd January 2020 for FYBA, SYBA and TYBA (History) students.
  • The annual photo -exhibition of the department, Chitrashala, held on February 4 & 5th February 2020, had on display photographs clicked by our students who went on the historical tour to Rajasthan.
  • The Department organized a Guest lecture by Principal, Dr. B.B. Sharma for students of Foundation Course on the topic Ecology, Environment and Sustainable Development on January 13, 2020.
  • The Department organized a Guest Lecture for the students of Foundation Course by Dr. Neeta Mehta, Head, Dept. of Psychology.
  • The Department organized a visit to the Coast Guard ship, ‘Samrat’, on February 12, 2020 at the Mumbai Port Trust.
  • The Department organised a workshop, Careers after History, on February 20, 2020.
  • The Department invited Celebrity Chef, Roopa Nabar to speak on ‘Fun, Food and Youth’ on February 26, 2020.
  • The Department organized an Online Essay Competition on the topic ‘Gossip, Humour and Rumours: The Covid-19 Pandemic and Lockdown’ on May 10th, 2020.
  • The Department organized an Online PPT Competition on the topic ‘Epidemics & Pandemics and Lifestyle Changes: Fashion and Food.’, which was announced on May 10th, 2020.
  • The Department organized an International Webinar on the topic ‘Epidemics and Pandemics: Challenges of the Past and Present.’ on May 16th, 2020.
